# Borrow

> Borrow a supported testnet asset against supplied collateral.

Borrow creates debt against eligible collateral in DeFi Planet.

## Before you start

Deposit an asset that the current interface accepts as collateral. Review **Available Borrow Amount**, the projected Health Factor, interest information, and liquidation risk.

## Borrow

<Steps>
  <Step title="Select an asset">Open **Borrow** and choose an available asset.</Step>
  <Step title="Enter an amount">Keep the amount within the available limit and leave a safety margin.</Step>
  <Step title="Review the preview">Check projected debt, interest, collateral impact, and Health Factor.</Step>
  <Step title="Confirm in your wallet">Submit the Borrow transaction and wait for confirmation.</Step>
  <Step title="Check the position">Confirm the wallet balance and updated debt in your Portfolio.</Step>

Interest can accrue after borrowing, so the repay amount can be higher than the original amount received.

<Warning>
  A lower Health Factor means less protection from liquidation. RocX does not document a fixed liquidation threshold here because the current contract configuration is not present in this repository.
