# Connect Wallet

> Connect a supported wallet to the RocX MVP safely.

A connected wallet identifies your RocX session and is required for onchain transactions and signed PoA or Explore actions.

## Before you start

* Install a wallet supported by the current RocX interface.
* Select only a testnet network shown in RocX.
* Keep testnet gas tokens available.

## Connect

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open RocX">Use the official RocX URL distributed through official channels.</Step>
  <Step title="Select Connect Wallet">Choose a wallet shown in the connection dialog.</Step>
  <Step title="Approve the connection">Check the domain and account in the wallet, then approve the connection request.</Step>
  <Step title="Confirm the network">If prompted, switch to the network shown by RocX. Do not add an unverified RPC manually.</Step>
  <Step title="Check the connected account">Confirm that the shortened wallet address in RocX matches the account you selected.</Step>
</Steps>

## Signatures and transactions

A connection request does not move assets. Transactions can change onchain balances, while message signatures authorize specific offchain actions such as Attendance, activity registration, evaluation, or a claim. Read every request before approving it.

## Common issues

If the wallet dialog does not open, unlock the extension and refresh the page. If RocX shows the wrong network or account, switch inside the wallet and reconnect. See [Troubleshooting](./support/troubleshooting) if the problem continues.

<Warning>
  RocX support will never ask for your seed phrase or private key.
